What We Believe

At Mawadda, we believe qualified, passionate Muslim educators should be empowered to share their skills—no matter where they live. Whether you’re a seasoned teacher, a subject-matter expert, or a fresh graduate looking to tutor, your knowledge can make a difference in another Muslim’s life.

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome practicing Muslims who are:

  • Passionate about teaching
  • Committed to educational excellence and Islamic values
  • Eager to work with students in a warm, respectful, and faith-aware environment

Basic Requirements

To teach on Mawadda, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Identify as a practicing Muslim who aligns with Sunni values and teaching ethics
  • Have fluency in English (additional languages welcome)
  • Be able to receive payments via a platform like Wise, Payoneer, Stripe, or PayPal
  • Have reliable internet access and basic tech literacy (Zoom, email, etc.)
  • Maintain professional and courteous communication with students, parents, and our support team

  • Pass identity verification and, where possible, a background check
  • Commit to child safety and responsible online behavior

Where You Can Teach From

Unlike many platforms, Mawadda welcomes teachers from around the world—including the U.S., UK, Canada, Australia, the EU, Middle East, Southeast Asia, Africa, and beyond.

If you’re unsure whether your country is currently supported for payouts or verification, you’re welcome to apply anyway and our team will follow up with options.

The Application Process

Submit Your Application

Tell us about your background, teaching interests, and proposed course ideas. No formal credentials required—just clarity, passion, and professionalism.

Initial Review

We’ll review your application and respond within a few days. If accepted, you’ll proceed to onboarding.

Verify Identity

We use secure tools to confirm teacher identities. This helps build trust between families and educators on the platform.

Background Check (Optional or Required Based on Region)

Where available, we ask teachers to complete a background check to ensure a safe learning environment for all.

Complete Onboarding & Policy Training

You’ll receive brief training on our core policies, including:
• Faith-aligned content guidelines
• Child safety and online class etiquette
• Parent communication best practices

Build Your Public Profile

This is how families will learn about you. You’ll share your teaching style, class offerings, and anything that makes your class unique.

List Your First Class

You’ll be able to create and schedule your own classes, set your pricing, and offer tutoring sessions as well. Every listing is reviewed by our team before going live.

How Payments Work

You’ll earn 75% of your course revenue. Mawadda retains a small platform fee (25%) to cover hosting, support, development, and outreach.

We currently use Wise, Payoneer, Stripe, or PayPal for secure payouts. Payment options may vary by region.
